Nurses welcome anti-assault laws

To better protect Victorian health workers from violent patients and families, the Victorian government has flagged new laws to clamp down on assaults in hospitals. If re-elected, a Labor government will double the maximum penalty for assaults against doctors, nurses and other health workers. The reforms would follow similar protections introduced for police and paramedics.
